New album by Rob Boughton
Description
‘Short stories, tall tales’ is Rob Boughton’s second album following ‘Time and emotion’ in 2014. The 9 new songs and are about love and loss and ‘daring do’, some are reflective of the past that he grew up in and some are looking the future. As the album title suggest Rob sees himself very much as a storyteller in the music medium and in the arrangements creates theatrical backdrops to enhance this. Rob wrote, produced, played and sung almost everything on the album with contributions from a couple of friends and his daughter Sarah Ann Boughton, who created the orchestral arrangement on ‘Late afternoon conversation’ and played the violin solo on ‘Raise a glass’. Many of the songs were written during the last three years and reflect these extraordinary times.
